How Waitlist Offers Work

Teacher Pro

A spot opens on a full form. SignUpSnap offers it to the first family in line.

  1. A spot opens. A parent cancels, or you add room.
  2. The first waiting family gets a Time Available email.
  3. The spot is held for that family for 12 hours. Other parents see it as full.
  4. The family selects Book This Time.
  5. No answer in 12 hours? The offer ends. The next family gets it.

No Double Bookings

Say Maya is first in line, but she already has a spot at 3:15. A 3:15 spot opens. Maya doesn't need it, so the offer skips her and goes to the next family. Maya keeps her place in line for other times.

Sign-Up Sheets

Families can wait for one item in particular. Say "Bring Cupcakes" is full. A family joins the waitlist for "Bring Cupcakes." They get an offer only when a cupcake spot opens, never for napkins or juice.

A family can also wait for any item. That choice shows up only when every item is full.

RSVPs

Groups stay together. Say the first family in line is 4 people, and 2 spots open. That family waits until 4 spots are free. The families behind them wait too. Nobody jumps ahead in line.
