Privacy Policy

Effective October 21, 2026

Positor Group LLC operates SignUpSnap ("SignUpSnap", "we", "us"). SignUpSnap is a sign up and scheduling service for teachers. Teachers create sign up forms. Parents and guardians book or respond through a link.

This policy describes the personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. It applies to signupsnap.com, app.signupsnap.com and every SignUpSnap form.

We do not show ads. We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it to build profiles.

Who This Policy Covers

SignUpSnap is for adults. It is not directed to children, and students do not use it.

Information We Collect

From teachers:

From parents:

Collected automatically:

Cookies

The app uses cookies that it needs to work: a sign-in session for teachers, a short-lived cookie that carries a booking confirmation to the next page, a cookie that remembers a valid sign-up code, and a cookie that remembers the language a parent picked. signupsnap.com also uses Google Analytics cookies to measure visits. We do not use advertising cookies.

How We Use Information

We do not use personal information for advertising. We do not sell or rent it.

Who Controls Booking Data

The teacher who created a form controls the information parents enter into it. We process that information for the teacher and, where a school uses SignUpSnap, for the school. For FERPA purposes, we act as a "school official" with a legitimate educational interest, under the school's direct control. We use that data only to provide the service. We do not re-disclose it except as this policy describes or the school directs.

Google, Microsoft and Zoom

A teacher can connect Google, Microsoft or Zoom to sign in, add bookings to a calendar and create meeting links.

SignUpSnap's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

A teacher can disconnect any of these accounts in SignUpSnap settings, or in the account's own permission settings, such as Google Account permissions.

How We Share Information

We share personal information only:

We give 30 days' notice before we add a new subprocessor that handles personal information.

Data Retention

Children

SignUpSnap collects information from adults about their children, such as a child's name on a conference booking. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Children may not use the service. We delete personal information that a child under 13 submits as soon as we learn of it.

Students and Schools

We comply with the student privacy laws that apply to us, including FERPA, California's SOPIPA, New York Education Law 2-d and Illinois SOPPA. We do not use student information for targeted advertising, to build profiles, or for any purpose other than providing SignUpSnap. A school or district can request a signed Student Data Privacy Consortium National Data Privacy Agreement on the School and District plans.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256. Backups are encrypted. Each teacher can reach only that teacher's own forms and responses. Teachers can turn on two-factor sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.

We notify affected schools, teachers and parents of a breach of personal information within the time the law requires.

Choices and Rights

Residents of some states and countries have more rights, such as the right to access, correct or port personal information, and to appeal a decision on a request. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity first. We respond within the time the law requires and do not discriminate against anyone for making a request.

Where Data Is Stored

We store data in the United States. Some service providers process data in other countries to deliver the service.

Changes to This Policy

We will email teachers and post the new policy here before a material change takes effect. The effective date at the top shows when the policy last changed.
